This Valtellina Superiore DOCG stands as a benchmark for Lombardy's highest quality classification. With 13.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) 90%, Merlot 10% , this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards vines cultivated at 350-500 meters above sea level on the slopes of the Rhaetian Alps. Vinification: fermentation in steel vats with maceration on the skins for 12 days. The wine is aged at least 20 months in 80 hl Slavonian oak barrels.
