This Valtellina Superiore DOCG stands as a benchmark for Lombardy's highest quality classification. Its 13.5% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in the Sassella area, rooted in stony soil at 450 metres above sea level. Vinification: fermentation in steel tanks with maceration for 5 days. The wine is aged 16 months in third-and-second-fill barriques for the 70% and 20 months in big oak barrels for the 30%. A wine true to the meticulous Lombard approach to winemaking.
The region's alpine influence and varied terroir create wines of remarkable elegance and precision.
