Valtellina Superiore Sassella Terrazzi Alti

This prestigious Valtellina DOCG represents the pinnacle of Italian winemaking excellence. At 14% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on the western Rhaetian side of the Sassella on terraced vines in stony and sandy soils, rich in skeleton. Vinification: spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration on the skins for 14 days. The wine is aged 12 months in large wood barrels. A wine reflecting the alpine influence found across Lombardy's varied terroir.
