This Aglianico del Vulture DOC captures the distinctive personality of Basilicata terroir. With 13.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Aglianico 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards grapes from the Contrada Croce di Musio vineyard, 640 meters above sea level and north-east facing cultivated in organic farming, on loam-loamy, slightly calcareous and structure-rich soil. Vinification: spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts with maceration on the skins for 14 days. The wine is aged 12 months in terracotta amphorae. A wine true to Basilicata's tradition of powerful, age-worthy wines.
Basilicata's volcanic Mount Vulture soils give its wines a distinctive mineral backbone.
