This exceptional Aglianico del Vulture DOC showcases the authentic character of Basilicata. With 14% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Aglianico 100% , this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in the district of San Savino from 8-year-old vines at 560 meters above sea level on loam soils with presence of volcanic sand and east exposure. Vinification: spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts with maceration on the skins for 1-2 weeks. The wine is aged 12 months in oak wood barrels. A wine showing the structured intensity typical of Basilicata's Aglianico-based reds.
Basilicata remains one of Italy's smaller, lesser-known but highly distinctive wine regions.
