A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Menfi DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 13.5% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Alicante 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 20 years old vines with seedling rootstock, located near to the sea and rooted in clayey sandy soils, faced to East and West. Organic farming. Vinification: destemming, soft pressing, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration for 2 weeks in big Slavonian oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation in old barriques. Without filtrations. The wine is aged 6 months in big Slavonian oak barrels. A wine capturing Sicily's sun-soaked character and ancient viticultural roots.
Sicily, the Mediterranean's largest island, pairs ancient viticultural heritage with a dynamic modern wine renaissance.
