A fine example of Piedmont winemaking, this Barbera d'Alba DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 13.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Barbera 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in Barbaresco, Bricco del Cuculo (270 m. slm), on limestone and clay soil with exposition to East, South and West. Vinification: grapes are harvested by hand and maceration for 15 days in stainless steel tanks. Only indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged 14 months in oak casks, 8 months steel containers and 4 months in bottle. A wine true to Piedmont tradition, built for age-worthy elegance.
Piedmont is renowned worldwide for Barolo and Barbaresco, its two great Nebbiolo-based expressions.
