A fine example of Piedmont winemaking, this Barbera d'Alba DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Barbera 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards pugnane, in Castiglione Falletto, on clayey soils rich of silt and limestone, south-east exposure. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in steel vats for 6 days of maceration controlled temperature. The wine is aged 10 months in barrels (15% new) and 4 months in bottle. A wine combining Piedmont's trademark power with finesse and complexity.
The region's continental climate and varied soils create ideal conditions for both indigenous and international grape varieties.
