Tasting Notes

Among the most celebrated expressions of its category, this Barolo DOCG showcases exceptional craftsmanship. At 14.5% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Nebbiolo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on the typical soil of marl and sandstone, called Ponca, at 110-140 meters above sea level from the Calvario vineyard (plantation 2003). Vinification: spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in contact with the skins in conical oak vats for 30 days. The wine is aged 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels, then at least 12 months in bottle. A wine true to Piedmont tradition, built for age-worthy elegance.
