Crafted from Nero d'Avola 60% and Frappato 40%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in Nicemi, at 100 metres above sea level on soils rich in skeleton. Vinification: alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in steel vats controlled temperature. The wine is aged 10 months in oak barrels (50% new and 50% of first passage) and 12 months in bottle. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
