This distinctive wine from Sicily embodies traditional Italian winemaking heritage. With 14.5% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 90 years old sapling vines rooted in volcanic soil at 850 metres above sea level on the Etna slopes in Contrada Sciaranuova. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks for 15 days and malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. The wine is aged 18 months in big oak barrels. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
