This exceptional Etna DOC showcases the authentic character of Sicily. At 13% alcohol, it presents a well-balanced and harmonious profile. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 90%, Nerello Cappuccio 10%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It shows a delicate pale hue with fresh red-berry aromas and a crisp finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards from 35 years vines in the east part of Etna, cultivated on sandy and volcanic soil, at 450-550 metres of altitude. Vinification: soft pressing and little part of the moust with macerated grapes, after fermentation in steel. The wine is aged 6 months on the lees. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
