Tasting Notes

This exceptional Etna DOC showcases the authentic character of Sicily. Its 15% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 150 years old, cultivated as alberello on volcanic soil at an altitude of 800/1000 meters above sea level. Vinification: soft pressing, maceration at 28°C for 18-21 days, malolactic fermentation in wood. The wine is aged some months in large 25hl barrels and tonneaux. A wine capturing Sicily's sun-soaked character and ancient viticultural roots.
