Tasting Notes

This Etna DOC captures the distinctive personality of Sicily terroir. At 14.5% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 98%, Nerello Cappuccio 2%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards old vines of 50-100 years, 4 hectares on the north side of Etna, 750 meters above sea level on volcanic soils with volcanic ash, black pumice and magmatic rock. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature. The wine is aged 18 months in oak barrels of different capacities, new for 20%. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
