A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 60 years old sapling vines on a volcanic soil, at 650-850 m above sea level. Vinification: with long maceration. The wine is aged 18 months in tonneau eand other 18 in bottle. A wine capturing Sicily's sun-soaked character and ancient viticultural roots.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
