Tasting Notes

A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. At 14% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards bush (alberello) pre- phylloxera of 80-00 years old at 850 meters above sea level on stony, light sandy and loamy soils. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation with maceration on the skins for 18 days. Soft pressing. Malolactic fermentation course. The wine is aged 14 months in french tonneaux. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
