Tasting Notes

This exceptional Etna DOC showcases the authentic character of Sicily. At 14% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on the north side in the Montelaguardia district at 750 meters above sea level on sandy volcanic soil, rich in minerals. Vinification: fermentation in steel with maceration on the skins for 10-12 days. The wine is aged 14 months in second and third passage barriques. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
