A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 13% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 100% , this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 'Alberello' vines rooted in a volcanic soil between 600 and 800 metres above sea level on the Etna slopes, in Vajasindi. Vinification: destemming, alcoholic fermentation with maceration on the skins for 7-8 days and malolactic fermentation completed. The wine is aged 12 months in concrete tanks and barriques. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
