This Gutturnio DOC captures the distinctive personality of Emilia Romagna terroir. With 12.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Barbera 60%, Croatina (Bonarda) 40%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards at 260 m. asl, on sandy-clay soils of Pliocene origin. Vinification: spontaneous fermentation in concrete vats, maceration for 8 days and second fermentation in bottle with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged at least 10 months in bottle. A wine reflecting the region's deep-rooted culinary wine traditions.
Emilia Romagna is the home of Lambrusco and a deeply food-driven wine culture.
