This Gattinara DOCG stands as a benchmark for Piedmont's highest quality classification. With 13% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Nebbiolo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on volcanic and acid soils in the Osso, Castelle and Lurghe hamlets located in Gattinara. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation with indigenous steel yeasts, skin-macerated for 20 days. The wine is aged 36 months in 25 hl oak barrels. A wine combining Piedmont's trademark power with finesse and complexity.
Piedmont is renowned worldwide for Barolo and Barbaresco, its two great Nebbiolo-based expressions.
