Tasting Notes

A fine example of Alto Adige winemaking, this Alto Adige/Sudtirol DOC reflects generations of local expertise. At 13.5% alcohol, it presents a well-balanced and harmonious profile. Crafted from Merlot 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in calcareous soils between 200 and 400 metres above sea level. Vinification: maceration on the skins for 10 days, slow alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperature and malolactic fermentation in big French and Slavonian oak barrels.
