A fine example of Sardinia winemaking, this Monica di Sardegna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. At 13.5% alcohol, it presents a well-balanced and harmonious profile. Crafted from Monica 85%, Carignano 15%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on sandy, clayey and calcareous soils from vines trained as saplings. Vinification: alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in concrete vats. The wine is aged some months in concrete vats. A wine reflecting the island's ancient indigenous grape heritage.
Sardinia is home to native varieties like Vermentino and Cannonau, rarely found elsewhere.
