Tasting Notes

This Collio DOC captures the distinctive personality of Friuli Venezia Giulia terroir. With 14% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Pinot Gris 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect crisp citrus and orchard fruit aromas framed by a clean, mineral finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on the typical soil of marl and sandstone, called Ponca, at 110-140 meters above sea level from the Calvario vineyard (plantation 2003). Vinification: spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in contact with the skins in conical oak vats for 30 days. The wine is aged 24 months in 5 hl barrels and at least 12 months in the bottle. A wine showing the influence of the region's cool alpine breezes.
