This Valle d'Aosta DOC captures the distinctive personality of Valle d'Aosta terroir. Its 13% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Pinot Noir 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in the municipality of Quart and Saint Christophe on sandy loam soils with a slope of 50-70%. Vinification: 70% de-stemmed grapes and 30% whole bunch, maceration for 8-10 days on the skins and alcoholic fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged some months in steel tanks and wood barrels. A wine true to the rare, mountain-driven character of Valle d'Aosta wines.
Valle d'Aosta, Italy's smallest wine region, grows vines at some of the country's highest altitudes.
