A fine example of Alto Adige winemaking, this Alto Adige/Sudtirol DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 13.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Pinot Noir 100% , this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards at an altitude of 350 meters, volcanic soils with morainic deposits, a cool microclimate with strong temperature ranges between day and night. Vinification: short cold maceration and alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature for 14 days,. The wine is aged 12 months in oak barrels of 35 hectoliters (two thirds) and in barriques, 12 months in the bottle. A wine capturing the crystalline character of Alto Adige's high-altitude vineyards.
Alto Adige combines Italian and Austrian winemaking traditions in Italy's northernmost wine region.
