This Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG stands as a benchmark for Umbria's highest quality classification. With 15% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Sagrantino 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 15-years-old vines in a hilly soil at 300-400 metres above sea level, faced to South and South-West. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks with maceration on the skins for 25-40 days. The wine is aged 6 months in tonneaux, 18 months in big oak barrels, 12 months in concrete vats and at least 12 in bottle. A wine true to Umbria's centuries-old winemaking heritage.
