This Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG stands as a benchmark for Umbria's highest quality classification. At 15.5% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Sagrantino 100% , this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards at 350 metres above sea level on clayey, calcareous and chalky soils with South, South-East exposure. Organic Farming. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature with indigenous yeasts and maceration on the skins for about 10 days. The wine is aged 18 months in French oak barrels and in large Slavonian barrels. A wine showing the elegant, structured style typical of Umbrian reds.
