This Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG stands as a benchmark for Umbria's highest quality classification. At 14.5% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Sagrantino 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards manual harvest in early October. Vineyards face South-East, on soils rich in clay. Vinification: maceration on the skins for 15 days, then fermented in contact with the lees for 6 months with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged 24 months in barrels, then 6 months in bottle. A wine reflecting Umbria's hillside terroir at the heart of Italy.
Umbria is home to Sagrantino di Montefalco, one of Italy's most tannic and age-worthy reds.
