Tasting Notes

This exceptional Cortona DOC showcases the authentic character of Tuscany. Its 15% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Sangiovese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards from a vineyard of 1973, located at an altitude of 310 m. asl., in the area of Cortona, with soil rich in clay. Vinification: maceration on the skins for 10 days, then malolactic in wooden barrels. The wine is aged 18-20 months in different French barriques, then in bottle for 12 months. A wine capturing the sun-drenched hills of Tuscany in every glass.
