Tasting Notes

This exceptional Sicilia DOC showcases the authentic character of Sicily. At 11.5% alcohol, it stays light on its feet without sacrificing character. Crafted from Grillo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Fine bubbles and vibrant effervescence complement its fresh and lively character. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 25 years-old vines in the Contrada Samperi, rooted on a calcareous sandy soil. Vinification: soft pressing, natural decanting of the must and first fermentation in steel and woody tanks with natural yeasts. Aging for 12 months in steel tanks, tonneau and barrique, before the second fermentation in the bottle according to the Classic Method. The wine is aged at least 18 months on the lees. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
