A fine example of Tuscany winemaking, this Cortona DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 13.5% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Syrah 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards manual harvesting, with crushing grapes with their feet. Vinification: de-stemming, foot-pressing, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats without use of pumps, sulfur or temperature control, with variable maceration for 20 days. Without filtration or stabilization. The wine is aged at least 24 months, 70% in small wood and 30% cement. A wine true to the storied winemaking heritage of Tuscany.
From the rolling hills of Chianti to the coastal Maremma, Tuscany's diverse terroir produces wines of exceptional character and aging potential.
