A fine example of Piedmont winemaking, this Colli Tortonesi DOC reflects generations of local expertise. At 14% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Timorasso 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect crisp citrus and orchard fruit aromas framed by a clean, mineral finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards from Gabetto and Montagnina crus, rich in marn and limestone, with strong slopes. Manual harvesting. Vinification: soft pressing of the whole bunch, cold racking and fermentation in stainless steel vats without the malolactic one. The wine is aged 10 months on the lees on steel vats, with manual batonnage, and other 10 months in bottle. A wine showcasing the fog-kissed hills of the Langhe.
Piedmont is renowned worldwide for Barolo and Barbaresco, its two great Nebbiolo-based expressions.
