A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Sicilia DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Syrah 50% and Nero d'Avola 50% , this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards vines cultivated on limestones fields from 230 to 260 metres of altitude. Vinification: contact of 15-20 days on the skins at controlled temperature. The wine is aged 10 months in casks of wood and steel and one year in bottle. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
