This distinctive wine from Sicily embodies traditional Italian winemaking heritage. With 13% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Insolia 70%, Chardonnay 30%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate is fresh and precise, with lively acidity carrying through to the finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards rooted in a sandy soil in Tenuta Ficuzza from Piana degli Albanesi, near to Palermo, at 700-800 m above sea level. Vinification: cold maceration for 12 hours at 8°C, soft pressing, static decantation and alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks. The wine is aged 5 months on the lees in steel tanks. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
Sicily, the Mediterranean's largest island, pairs ancient viticultural heritage with a dynamic modern wine renaissance.
