A fine example of Piedmont winemaking, this Dolcetto d'Alba DOC reflects generations of local expertise. At 13% alcohol, it presents a well-balanced and harmonious profile. Crafted from Dolcetto 100% , this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards vines over 50 years old on sand and clay soils with south-eastern exposure. Vinification: 20 days of fermentation on indigenous yeasts in steel tanks at room temperature, with frequent pumping over. The wine is aged 12 months in vats and for a shorter period in medium-capacity Slavonian oak barrels (30-50hl). Then 6 months in bottle. A wine true to Piedmont tradition, built for age-worthy elegance.
Piedmont is renowned worldwide for Barolo and Barbaresco, its two great Nebbiolo-based expressions.
