This Etna DOC captures the distinctive personality of Sicily terroir. With 14% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 90%, Nerello Cappuccio 10%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 25-30 years old vines from Contrada Feudo di Mezzo at 750 m above sea level, facedo to North. Vinification: de-stemming, alcoholic fermentation with maceration on the skins for about 30 days in steel tanks and malolactic fermentation in barrique. The wine is aged 14-16 months in French barriques and at least 18 months in bottle. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
