Tasting Notes

This exceptional Etna DOC showcases the authentic character of Sicily. With 13% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese and small part of Nerello Cappuccio, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards albarello vines located at 730-750 meters above sea level on lava soils, deep and rich in minerals on the north side of Etna, between Randazzo and Castiglione di Sicilia. Vinification: fermentation in steel tanks with maceration on the skins for 8-10 days. The wine is aged 14 months in concrete tanks and for a small part in French oak barrels (first and second passage). A wine capturing Sicily's sun-soaked character and ancient viticultural roots.
