A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 14% alcohol content underpins a rich, muscular structure. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 95%, Nerello Cappuccio 5%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on the northern slopes at 700 meters above sea level, from 70-year-old vines on soils of volcanic origin. Vinification: spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts for 14 days with malolactic fermentation in steel. The wine is aged 70% in steel tanks and 30% in large second passage oak barrels for at least 18 months. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
Sicilian producers blend indigenous grapes with international varieties, reflecting the island's rich cultural mix.
