This Etna DOC captures the distinctive personality of Sicily terroir. At 14.5% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 98%, Nerello Cappuccio 2%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards calderara, in the town of Randazzo, on volcanic soil with exposure to the North of Etna at 600 m. above the sea level. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation with controlled temperature at 28°-30°C. The wine is aged 16-18 months in French barriques and tonneaux, then 1 months in steel tanks. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
Sicily, the Mediterranean's largest island, pairs ancient viticultural heritage with a dynamic modern wine renaissance.
