A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Etna DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 13.5% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese and small part of Nerello Cappuccio, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards sapling and cordon spur vines in a volcanic and very mineral sandy soil at 730-750 metres above sea lelvel, in the Northern slope of Etna between Randazzo and Castiglione di Sicilia. Vinification: fermentation in steel tanks with maceration on the skins for 8-10 days. The wine is aged 14 months in steel vats and used barriques, then 7 months in bottle. A wine capturing Sicily's sun-soaked character and ancient viticultural roots.
Sicilian producers blend indigenous grapes with international varieties, reflecting the island's rich cultural mix.
