A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Faro DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 13% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Nocera, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards on a loam soil characterized by layers of clay and tufa, 250 m above sea level. Vinification: spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in steel. The wine is aged 16 months in barrels and 4 in bottle. A wine showing the island's unique volcanic terroir and Mediterranean influence.
Sicily, the Mediterranean's largest island, pairs ancient viticultural heritage with a dynamic modern wine renaissance.
