This Faro DOC captures the distinctive personality of Sicily terroir. With 14.5% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Nerello Mascalese 50%, Nerello Cappuccio 30%, Nocera 10%, other vines 10%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards torgiano area from 200-300 mt above sea level on limestone and clay soil. Vinification: whole cluster pressing on vertical press for 50% of the grapes, destemming by hand, maceration on the skins for 3-4 days for the other 50%, spontaneous fermentation in steel for 2-3 weeks. Without filtrations or clarifications. The wine is aged 18 months in small new barrels of Allier and Troncais, then at least 18 months in bottle.
