Produced in Umbria, this wine reflects a genuine sense of place. With 12.5% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Gamay, Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards at 350 metres above sea level on hilly soil. Vinification: alcoholic spontaneous fermentation in steel with indigenous yeasts. Couple of decanting before bottling without filtration and adding sulphites. The wine is aged few months in steel tanks. A wine true to Umbria's centuries-old winemaking heritage.
Umbria is home to Sagrantino di Montefalco, one of Italy's most tannic and age-worthy reds.
