A fine example of Umbria winemaking, this Montefalco DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 14.5% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Sangiovese 70%, Sagrantino 15%, Merlot 15%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards vines rooted on clay soils at 265 m above sea level. Vinification: fermentation in stainless steel tanks only with the help of wild yeasts present on grapes. The wine is aged 12 months in oak barrels. A wine showing the elegant, structured style typical of Umbrian reds.
Umbria is home to Sagrantino di Montefalco, one of Italy's most tannic and age-worthy reds.
