This Montefalco DOC captures the distinctive personality of Umbria terroir. With 13% alcohol, it strikes a confident balance between body and freshness. Crafted from Sangiovese 80%, Sagrantino 20%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 15-year-old vines on clayey and marly hilly soils at about 250 - 320 meters a.s.l. Vinification: whole grape, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with usual indigenous yeasts. No filtration. The wine is aged circa 12 months in Slawonian oak barrels and at least 6 months in the bottle. A wine showing the elegant, structured style typical of Umbrian reds.
The region's hillside vineyards yield structured reds and refined whites alike.
