A fine example of Umbria winemaking, this Montefalco DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 14.5% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Sangiovese 70%, Sagrantino 15%, Merlot 15%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. The palate shows depth and structure, with a finish that lingers pleasantly. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in a clayey and calcareous soil at 230 m above sea level, faced to South East. Vinification: destemming, pressing, fermentation on the skins in steel tanks for 21-28 days and maceration for other 4-5 days. The wine is aged 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels. A wine showing the elegant, structured style typical of Umbrian reds.
The region's hillside vineyards yield structured reds and refined whites alike.
