A fine example of Sicily winemaking, this Sicilia DOC reflects generations of local expertise. Its 13.5% alcohol content supports a rounded, well-integrated style. Crafted from Nero d'Avola 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards at 280-300 meters altitude on limestone and clay soils. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks. The wine is aged 10 months in steel tanks and almost 6 months in bottle. A wine reflecting the mineral intensity of Sicily's volcanic soils.
Volcanic soils around Mount Etna impart a distinctive mineral character found across many Sicilian wines.
