Crafted from Sangiovese 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. Expect layered dark fruit aromas, firm tannins and a long, satisfying finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards from vigna Monticchio of Tenuta Torgiano, at 300 metres of altitude and with west exposure. Vinification: fermentation in steel with maceration on the skins for 25-28 days. The wine is aged 12 months in wooden barrels, then over 40 months in bottle. A wine reflecting Umbria's hillside terroir at the heart of Italy.
