This Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC captures the distinctive personality of Friuli Venezia Giulia terroir. At 14% alcohol, it delivers real concentration and power on the palate. Crafted from Merlot 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards 25 years-old vines of Buttrio vineyard with south exposure. Vinification: alcoholic fermentation for 7 days in steel vats and maceration on the skins for 14 days. The wine is aged 18 months in first and second passage barriques and amphorae. Other 8 months in stainless steel. A wine showing the influence of the region's cool alpine breezes.
