A fine example of Friuli Venezia Giulia winemaking, this Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC reflects generations of local expertise. With 15% alcohol content, it offers a full-bodied and robust structure. Crafted from Pignolo 100%, this wine expresses the unique terroir characteristics. It displays rich color intensity with complex aromas and a persistent finish. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in Cividale del Friuli and Prepotto, facing South-East, at an altitude of 180-190 m. above sea level, on soils rich in clay. Vinification: fermentation in wooden vats with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged 12 months in barriques, 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, another 12 months in wooden vats and at least 12 months in bottles. A wine reflecting Friuli's reputation for aromatic precision and minerality.
Cool alpine breezes and diverse soils give Friuli's wines their trademark aromatic precision.
